Nursing
Nursing Assessment
Members of our professional registered nursing staff perform thorough assessments of each patient’s needs to determine exactly what level of care is required and for how long. Regular reviews are subsequently performed to determine whether needs have changed in order to ensure that the patient continues to receive the appropriate level of care.
Visiting and Shift Nursing
We provide professional nursing services for as little as a one hour visit and as much as 24 hours a day, seven days a week on a shift basis. This service is available both to individual clients as well as institutions within the community. We also provide specialized nursing care for clients with complex care needs.
Chronic Care
Access Healthcare Services Inc. provides long-term care for clients with special needs such as Acquired Brain Injury, Quadriplegia, Multiple Sclerosis and Muscular Distrophy. In all such cases, our registered staff will liaise closely with the patient’s complete health care team, including doctors, therapists and family members.
Foot care
Our registered staff provides basic and advanced foot care for clients at long-term care facilities and within the community.
Palliative Care
Palliative care patients are provided with sensitive, skilled care to meet the very special physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs of the terminally ill and their families.
Homemaking Services
Attendant Care
Our Attendant Care program includes assistance with all the activities of daily living, including bowel and bladder care, transfers, and physical therapy.
Home Support
Our caregivers do light housekeeping duties, meal preparation, shopping, childcare, and laundry.
Respite Care
At Access Healthcare Services Inc., we understand the burden of providing long term care to an infirmed loved one. Accordingly, we offer occasional relief by qualified staff to family members and caregivers.
Sitter/Companion
We provide general companionship and emotional support for clients and their families, whether escorting patients to their appointments or simply being present in the home.
Supplementary Staffing
Access Healthcare Services Inc. employs a full range of qualified staff, including Registered Nurses, Registered Practical Nurses, Healthcare Aids and Personal Support Workers which we will provide on either a short or long term basis to hospitals, long term care facilities, retirement homes or private homes, as required.

Flexibility and cost effectiveness
We will recommend only the services that you need and monitor progress to make adjustments as needs change. We also combine various tasks and services for a given shift. For example, a scheduled shift of (4) hours could combine (2) hours of attendant care and (2) hours of sitter/companion care. This allows flexibility of timed tasks and continuity of care in a cost effective manner.
Advanced Systems Administration technology
Access has developed a sophisticated software based administration system which controls and coordinates delivery of our services. Client records, service history, consistency rate, care giver records, medical records, coordination and billing can all be generated from a single database in minutes.
