Registered Practical Nurse – Ottawa and surrounding region
Access Healthcare Services Inc. (AHS) is looking for RPNs with a passion for home and community care to join our growing team.
The Registered Practical Nurse will provide high quality, client centred nursing care to all patients assigned to their caseload. This includes but is not limited to completing client assessments and treatment regimes (including medication administration), evaluating and updating care plans and undertaking client education and health promotion activities. The RPN will work in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the highest level of care is provided. The RPN also adheres to the principles of quality documentation and maintenance of client health records at all times.

Pay: $26.00 – $31.00 per visit
What you will be doing:
- Provide in-home, high quality client centred care
- Complete comprehensive client assessments to develop collaborative, holistic care planning
- Works to the full scope of practice as outlined by the CNO Professional Standards and AHS policies and procedures
- Upholds the mission, vision and values of AHS
- Adheres to infection, prevention & control measures and nursing best practice standards
- Participates in ongoing continuing education and professional development
- Reports, consults and collaborates with members of the interdisciplinary health care team
- Participates in the on call nursing rotation
What you will need:
- Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with CNO
- Proof of Covid-19 vaccinations
- Negative TB test
- Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Clear vulnerable sector check
- Excellent assessment, documentation, verbal, and communication skills
The experience we are looking for:
- 1 year nursing experience preferred but not essential
- New graduates are welcome to apply
- Previous experience in community care an asset
- Bilingualism considered an asset but not essential
